Just received an email from Zetema concerning the Roma Piu Pass:
'I regret to inform you, as you already know, that Roma & Più Pass is not available at the moment and you won't be able to purchase it. we don't know yet when Roma & Più Pass will become available again, (Roma Pass is a much more popular product). When it happens, anyways, it will become at once available again on line. I suggest you keep checking the website. The difference between the two pass mainly is on the train lines and some Museums and archaeological sites in the Province of Roma. With Roma Pass you can go around the city within the ring road, whereas, with Roma & Più Pass you will be able to get to some places near Rome (such as Tivoli). (Neither Roma Pass nor Roma & Più pass cover the transport to and from the airports)" Another point of interest in the email: "With Roma Pass you will skip the line only at the sites where there is a reserved turnstile for it. Only at the Coliseum there is a line reserved to possessors of Roma Pass. The queue anyway is mainly only at the Colosseum and at the other museums you shouldn't have any problem. If the Museum you wish to visit is not covered by the first two free entries, then you must wait on line, because you are using a discounted ticket that has to be picked up and paid for at the ticket window." |

Anyway always on http://www.leonhouses.com I have also found how to buy tickets for all the museums and exhibitions on-line, it seems there is a unique agency to buy them:

Why would anyone use a website for housing instead of the official Roma Pass website? Why link a housing website to purchase tickets instead of the official website unless you are advertising?

Leonhouses has been busy this morning; he's done the same thing in other travel forums.

:-( ...the article I linked has been useful to me to see how to book museums in Rome and skip the line; hope it could be to everyone as such information is not reported neither into the Rome pass card.
