rollerblading around the eiffel tower

Is this on a Thursday or Friday night? I do not want to bring my rollerblades, where is the best place to rent some. What time should we be ready to roll?

It's on Friday nights and you must be a good roller.
The following site will give you all details, including where you can rent rollers.
They go very fast and there may be several hundreds, if not thousands, depending on the weather.
Have fun!

www.pari-roller.com/us/main.htm

Fred-

Thank you so much for all the information. We're also into blading and will look into that when we're in Paris.

The Friday night skate now leaves from Gare Montparnasse. Check out

http://www.pari-roller.com/

for current info. The website someone gave above is out of date unfortunately.

This is a great event! We arrived in Paris at 5:00 on a Friday evening last summer and decided to walk to the Eiffel grounds after a late dinner. We didn't have a clue that anything special was going on at all. Imagine our surprise when first a few, and then in short order, thousands of rollerbladers surrounded us. A big truck pulled up and started selling concessions. Another pulled up and a band started playing. The entire area was quickly filled with laughing, jostling, experienced skaters. We felt quite old, and extremely short, but have enjoyed the memory immensely. After about an hour the group moved on and the area was quiet again...just a little messier. Heed JJ's earlier advice and do not consider this unless you are experienced at skating in groups. "Fast" would be an understatement for the Friday night crowd.
