Roll up Pants

Pants

I was in Arusha, TZ this past summer and i saw a girl wearing these pants that were long pant and looked pretty cool.

They had a few strings of material with snap buttons near the calf that allowed you to roll up the pant legs and button them in place (thus making capris).

Anyone know or seen what i'm talking about.

I'm just trying to figure out what i want to wear for my europe trip this summer and I thought i'd try to hunt down a pair of these. I really don't like the look of the synthetic micro-fiber stuff (it looks touristy to me). Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks.
Adam

The Gap had pants and shorts like that last summer, I don't know if they will have them this year.

I have two pairs of those pants/capris that I get a lot of use out of. They are made by Columbia and I found them at a store in Denver that specializes in sporting clothes. They are khaki-colors in a lightweight fabric that travels really well. I could actually read information from the labels, if you can't find by Googling.

Are you sure they make these for men?

Ackislander Mar 1st, 2007 10:39 AM

They make them for men, but they are meant to be worn on hikes and outdoor adventures, not in cities. It's like those Tilley broad-brim safari hats that you see on old geezer tourists. Would they wear them at home? Sadly, they probably would.

Oh goodness..and here I was considering one of those Tilley hats for a trip this fall. What kind of hat would be a cooler alternative?

Sorry-- I didn't notice the OP is male.

Are you J Alfred Prufrock, sweetie darling? Are you going to walk along, daring to eat a peach?

Just buy a pair of Mavi or Y-3 jeans and be done with it. Men in capris look as daft as David Beckham (but he can get away with it because he is millionaire chav).

I agree. "Manpris" look as ridiculous as that word sounds.

Not if you carry a murse.

And wax your mankini line.
