Roissybus to our hotel a possibility?

Roissybus to our hotel a possibility?
My mom and I will be staying at the Park Hyatt Vendome. We will each have one rolling bag and a carry-on (backpack for me, and I believe my mom's attaches to her larger bag's handle). I am debating whether the two of us should take the Roissybus for 10 euro pp or go with Shuttle-Inter which I believe is 55 euro total. I've done Shuttle-Inter before with my husband and we really liked it, but that was to a different hotel location. Knowing the Roissybus drops off at the Opera, I am considering taking that to save 35 euro. I'm just unsure of how much walking we'll be up to doing with our bags... and my mom is 64 years young. We're flying in from Heathrow so won't be jetlagged or anything.
Do you think the Roissybus is a good option for us or should we just stick with the shuttle?

I usually take shuttle-inter but during my last trip to Paris I didn't reserve transportation back to the airport. We took the Roissybus from Opera and it was very easy & convenient. I would believe taking it from the airport to your hotel is just as simple.

Forgive me if this appears rude (it is not intended to be), but you are staying at The Park Hyatt Vendome (where I recently stayed), where a standard room is about $1,000/ night and you are worried about saving 20 or 30 euros by taking a bus instead of a shuttle (which costs the same or more than a taxi for two people). I don't get it.

If I were to stay at the Park Hyatt Vendome, I should be nothing other than completely embarrassed to arrive at a hotel of this caliber in anything other than a taxi or private car (and by private car I mean one that does not have a shuttle company name written all over it.)

Showing up in a taxi isnt much of an entrance either. The last time I was there(walking by mind you) a fat woman dragging her coat along the puddles had her Black Escalade partially blocking traffic while shouting commands in German to the doormen as they attempted to unload her luggage without letting her dogs out.

Ok then, the OP has a lot of points and is putting them to good use. I will never understand, however, trying to save 10 or 20 euros by taking a bus instead of taking a taxi. The only exception to this for me is going to Tokyo, where the bus costs $30, and a taxi costs $300.
Paris is expensive, and the Palace Hotels particularly so. The OP should be prepared for 25 euro drinks and 50 to 75 euro breakfasts at her hotel. Though I love the design of the Park Hyatt, the hotel was lacking something for me; I prefer a couple of the other Palaces, or better yet, a great 4-star in St. Germain with truly personal service.
The location, however, cannot be beat; love the Place Vendome! Perhaps the most central location in Paris (if there is such a thing).

The Roissy Bus is fine.
I usually get disoriented at the Place de l'Opera, so would suggest that you look at the street view on google and get yourself oriented, so you aren't dragging your luggage over half of that large plaza.
If it really would bother you to arrive on foot, then the moment you get off the Roissy Bus, in the Place de l'Opera, catch a taxi and have it drive you the block and a half to the hotel. Even if you end up paying 10E including the tip, you're still ahead 25.
You want to know how the filthy rich got that way? By doing what you're doing - cutting down on expenses. Better yet, they have someone else pay for the taxi/limousine.
You'll do fine. Just arrive any way you want to. You're the guest, hold your head high, you have every right to be there - snooty people are small people.
I'm sure you know all this and didn't need me to say anything. I just had to vent a bit.
Have a great trip! Sounds like you and your Mother will have a blast!

If one wants to wait five or 10 minutes at the airport for the bus, then, depending on the terminal of arrival, spend another 20 or 30 minutes picking up other passengers at other terminals within the airport, then, after being dropped off in Paris, rolling their luggage a few blocks, or trying to find a taxi for the quick ride, in order to save 20 euros or so, that is certainly a decision one must figure out for themselves.
As I said earlier, given how I value my time, and my desire for ease and comfort, make it an easy decision (for me).

We've been at the Park Hyatt Vendome before (using points) in 2008 and we used taxi then. We plan to use the Roissybus this time for our next trip this Christmas since it's around the corner and some of you think that it's a good idea. Thanks for the input. Next question is, do they operate on Christmas Day? We arrive on Christmas day (Sunday) I heard that they do and if so, do you know if they use a different schedule (longer than 15 min wait) ? Thanks
