People,<BR><BR>I wanted to know what you recommend for a 1/2 day excursion from Montreux/Vevey : Rochers de naye OR les pleidas. Which provides better views of Lake Geneva. We like short hikes with best views.<BR><BR>

Rochers-de-Naye IMO offers better views and more hiking trails/walking paths. The cog-train route to Rochers-de-Naye is more scenic, too.<BR><BR>I.

Thanks!!!<BR><BR>Is it possible to do Rochers De Naye + Chillion Castle in half the day. We have to leave Montreux by 12:00, latest 13:00. If no, then what do you recommend we pick. If yes, then what order do you recommend.

This is definitely not possible. If you take the train 9:05 to Rochers-de-Naye you will reach the top station at 10:00. Enjoying the views etc. takes a little time. So you can reach the 11:05 train back to Montreux, arriving 12:00 at Montreux. No time for castle Chillon.<BR><BR>So I recommend following:<BR><BR>Take the bus No. 1 to castle Chillon, spend at least one, better one and a half hour exploring the castle. Take the bus back, get off in Territet, where you can take the funicular up to Glion. Glion is located approx. 200 metres above the lake on the rail route to Rochers-de-Naye and offers great views, too. Enjoy the views and take the train (ca. 11:45) back to Montreux.<BR><BR>Ingo
