Roadtrip to East of France

Will be driving from Brussels to France and back for 4 days. Was a decision between the East or West of France, any suggestions?

The western part is closer--Picardie & Normandy. You might want to look at my trip report, particularly if you are interested in gardens. Click on my name to find the trip reports.

I would look at either the Michelin Green Guide for France or the regional guides, depending on how much time you have, to decide what you really want to do.

Hi bb,

I would take the train to Paris for 4days.
See www.voyages-sncf.com or http://www.b-rail.be/main/E/

With only 4 days, I should think geography would dictate that northwestern France would be better.

Thanks Michael & StCirq, that's exactly why I was apprehensive about going all the way to the West of France.

Ira, I am flying in through Paris therefore would be checking out Paris already.

Huh? We are all suggesting that you DO go to the west.
