Road trip in Spain

we would like to have 10 days of driving in Spain. The plan is to fly into Barcelona( advice on how many days there?) take the train to Valencia( how many days?) ferry to Ibiza ( prolly 2 days) and back to Valencia. This is where we will get a car. Places we want to see include Pamplona, Sevilla, Segovia, Ronda, Granada. Not in that order but my main question is... Has anyone done something similar or is this possible in 10 days. We don't need to stay the night in each place. Thanks for the advice!

You cannot take a a hire car on a ferry.
I would suggest you travel less and see more. so drop the ideas of one fighters. Keep your trip more local to BCN as there will be more than enough to see and do.
Now what time of year are you going and what are your interests? Apart from food wine historical sights as Spain has all of these in abundance.

Pamplona's a long drive from Valencia. You can take the train if you want to head north to Navarra, pick up a rental car there and drive back to Segovia. You can then take the train from Madrid to Sevilla before picking up another car in Sevilla.

Doing it al in 10 days would be a push, with very little time to enjoy your stay.

Sorry - what you have there is a 3 week trip - and that is still moving quickly. You may be able to get to all of those places in 10 days (I wouldn't guarantee based on ferry times) but it would just be driving, checking in and out of hotels and sleeping - no time to see anything.

You really need to start over - and do either north built around Barcelona or south/Andalusia. You just don't have the time to do both.

thanks for the help! We are not going to take the car to Ibiza but get a car when we return back. We will be going in July 2016. Our interests are simple, food, scenery, castles, nightlife. Pamoplona is a must because my husband is set on running with the bulls. should we stick to the northern areas or would we be missing out not going south?

If you like heat, then July in Andalucia will fit the bill!

You will be missing out on a lot by not seeing Andalucia. But, July will certainly be very hot in most of Spain, hotter in the central to southern areas
.

I have done three trips to Spain so far... and have a few trips left to see those areas I haven't got to yet.

More time in less areas is really better than more areas in less time. You will want to return to Spain.

10 days is not enough for all you want to see. But it is your trip and only you can decide what is acceptable.

the North ie Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, The Basque country is going to be hotter than a lot of Andalusia for the coming few days. No one can tell what the weather will be it is totally unpredictable.

OP. Like I said we have all of those sorts of things all over Spain.
I suggest you have a look at a guide book or at the National tourism website and do some basic planning.

Pamplona and running with the bulls should be combined with the neighbouring and fabulous Basque country: cities such as Belle epoque San Sebastian, vibrant Bilbao and the capital Vitoria (all three with all the nightlife you could want), a spectacular coastline with small villages and great beaches. The #1 food region in Spain if not all of Europe: http://tourism.euskadi.eus/en/

Thank you all that helps a lot! Still can't decide between north and south lol but I know I have to choose one or the other.
