Road Trip From Barcelona to Seville Ideas?

Hi,
My family and I are planning to take an eight day road trip from Barcelona to Seville. We are first staying 3 nights in Barcelona and ending with four nights in Seville. Our current plan, is to first drive from Barcelona to Valencia, and spend two nights there. Then we will drive from Valencia to Granada, and spend two nights there. Next, we would drive to Ronda, and spend the night there. After that, we have an extra day where we aren't sure what to do. We are planning to end our trip near Jagubo, or a neighboring village before heading to Seville.

Does anyone have any suggestions or idea?
Thanks

We spent a week in Seville last month, and could have stayed in town the whole time. We ended up spending most of a day in Italica, an easy bus ride away, and its Roman ruins. Very worthwhile, especially if you also visit Seville's excellent Museo Arqueologico.

I'd hoped to get to Cadiz for a day trip by train, but my daughter's flamenco lessons trumped that one.

You seem to have it pretty well mapped out. I take it you are referring to Jabugo? It's a very small village northwest of Sevilla, one of the places where they raise the pigs that make Jamón ibérico.

Jabugo is not interesting - just full of ham warehouses. Try Carmona.

Perhaps tiny Alájar or small Aracena close to Jabugo and in the middle of the "best-jamón-in-the,world"-country.
