I've not met isabel nor am I familiar with her posts but the artistry of her photos speaks volumes about her. May her memory be a blessing.

So, so sad to read this. I have always loved her trip reports and her fabulous photos. I’ve found her reports so very helpful when planning trips. This is heartbreaking to read.

It sounds like she lived a very full life. Her obituary was beautiful, someone wrote it who loved her very much.

I was totally shocked to learn about the news today from the recent resurrected thread:

I was strangely shocked to see this thread resurrected. A Fodor's poster PM'd me a couple months ago with the sad news that isabel had died.

She generously shared her photos and impressions of the places she visited, always transparent about her particular interests and why they might not be relevant to everyone. Although I never met her in "real life," I liked her. May she rest in peace.

l am not good with words but I am deeply saddened by the news and would like to at least pay a simple tribute to her with this thread.

Cherthor, thank you for bringing up this thread. It's nice to remember Isabel. I always clicked on a post from her knowing it would be insightful and her photos were such a pleasure to view. So many places I would never see without them.

I am shocked and saddened to hear about Isabel’s passing. I remember her trip reports and beautiful photos very well. In fact, I used many of her trip reports to plan my trips.

I was wondering why she hadn’t posted on Fodors since the pandemic, and now I unfortunately know why .

Thank you for letting us know.

I always like her reports and the photos that she shared. She had contributed so much to the travel forums and it is so sad to lose her forever!

Life can be very fragile.

@ Cherthor: IMO, it was good of you to share the information, since a number of people seem to have missed my post. Thx.
