RIP Cholmondely_Warner...

Though I posted this in The Lounge, it was suggested I post it here as well.

I recieved a message from David's Stepfather today:

" I regret to say that David was found dead in his flat on Sep 19 by his landlord. David lived alone and the cause of death is currently unknown but appears to have been some sort of collapse but not a heart attack. The local coroner is investigating but there will be no more information for about 10 weeks."

And I, in turn, am sorry to pass on this information. I was one of the many who adored him and am broken up by this sad, sad news. Like some have said, I feel I've been punched in the stomach. He was loved by many, and I, for one, will miss him terribly.

Rest In Peace, Sweet boy.

I have always loved David's posts. I was quoting him only this evening. I will miss him greatly

This is so sad. He was a good guy.

Ah, a bit more humour disappears from the forum. What a shame...

Oh bugger.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Will his Requiem have to wait till after the inquest? And is it possible, zelphia, to find out where and when it will be?

I'm so sorry to read this. I really loved his sense of humor and good advice. RIP, indeed.

Michael, I asked that on the FB thread where his stepfather posted. I just hope he looks back to see the question.

Sheila:

It may sound fogeyish, but I've got no way of getting into Facebook. If you find out, could you possibly post the answer?

Thanks

sheila Sep 26th, 2011 02:02 PM

Sharon or I will, for sure. But there's no certainty the chap will see it. David was only 46, but I'm pretty sure none of the generation above me would think to tell my online life about stuff like that.

Oh my goodness, so young!! I always enjoyed his posts.....so very sad.

jamikins Sep 26th, 2011 02:09 PM

I am so sorry to hear this. Meeting David was one of the highlights of our UK trip.

The world is a little bit poorer tonight.

irishface Sep 26th, 2011 04:25 PM

You have all said it, and said it well. Sad news, indeed.

zelphiacat Sep 26th, 2011 04:29 PM

Flanner - If I find more out about the service, I'll be sure to pass it on to you.

Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince;
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
