Rijstaffel in Amsterdam?

Where is the best place for Rijstaffel in Amsterdam these days?

For rijsttafel, many people like Temp Doeloe in Utrechtsestraat. I like Flamboyant, Amstel 111, but it has been a while since I ate there.

In March we went to Srikandi at Stadhouserskade 31 for Rijstaffel and enjoyed it very much. Very warm atmosphere. Near the Rijksmuseum. www.srikandi.nl.

Karen

All the above suggestions are great. DON'T go to Kantjil en de Tijger. It gets great reviews (even a star from Fodor's!), but it is a sanitized, decorated, overly bright version of an Indonesian restaurant--we thought of it as Indonesian by way of Soho (NYC). Try out a more traditional place for a more authentic meal. We went to Kantjil after several other Indonesian-owned restaurants and were somewhat disappointed. The food wasn't bad, but a lot of it tasted the same, unlike the profusion of flavors at other restaurants we'd tried. Have fun!

I have been to two, but for the life of me I can't remember the name of either and don't have a record of either. One was done as a buffet and we loved being able to pick out the things we wanted (although I'm usually a hater of buffets). The other one was served at our table and was OK, but it seemed like there were some things I wished we had had more of and others I could have done with just a taste. Are the ones mentioned above all served at the table, or are they done as a buffet?
