You were trying to download his website? Just go to it at
http://www.ricksteves.com/ and look at it.

Don, thanks for answering my question. I guess I wasn't clear in my message. I was trying to get into RickSteves web site to download the Self-Drive tour description mentioned by Marylouis, but just couldn't find anything on the web. Anyway, I'll try again. Thanks for your help.

Don, I finally was able to view the Rick Steves website. I am not real computer literate, so excuse me if I use the wrong words to describe what I am trying to do. Anyway, I did view what he has to offer. Very interesting. Didn't see anything on self-drive information.

I agree Rick Steves has a very good website (http://www.ricksteves.com). This is the same fellow that does 1/2 hour travel shows on almost all PBS TV stations. He is older now with a wife and a couple of kids, but started visiting Europe about 20 years ago as kind of a hippie-looking young fellow.
I just bought an old edition of his Europe Through The Back Door at my favorite used book store before investing in a new edition when I next can afford a trip there. I found it quite good; naturally aimed at the budget traveler (he finds lodging most of the time in private homes). Still, his advice is quite good and has an excellent section for packing light. I'm doing better with each vacation, and my husband seems to be quite grateful.
