Rialto In Venice-Need Info Please
Has anyone heard of or stayed at Ca' Rialto? The Rialto Hotel has told me that this is a new property of the hotel and it is approx. 50 metres far from the hotel.

Topping this. They made an offer to me (w/canal view). Wondering what the annex is like.

I'm not too comfortable passing along second hand information, but since it's been two weeks and no one has posted an answer, I will.
I've stayed at the Rialto Hotel in balcony rooms twice and loved it, but this summer when talking with someone on a train, they mentioned that's where they had stayed. But when they got there they were put in the "annex next to the hotel". They said the rooms were dark and had no views and they were very disappointed. I'm not sure if that is the same as the Ca' Rialto or not. |
Almost 3 years on since this post first began, but we've just been offered the same thing. Anyone stayed in Ca' Rialto yet?

Hi surfergirl,
Can't help with the Ca'Rialto, but if it doesn't work youmight want to consider a canal view room at the Hotel Marconi on the other side of the bridge. See http://www.hotelmarconi.it/ |
Thanks Ira. I'll check it out. Rialto offered 250 for the annex, 280 for standard jr suite in the main hotel, or 320 for jr suite with view in the main hotel. I was trying to get into the American (a quad), where we stayed 14 years ago, and the website showed 250/night, but in emailing, they quoted more than 350/night (strange). I'm still waiting for clarification as to WHY. I will check out the Marconi.
