Rhodes to Thessaloniki

My husband and I will need to travel from Rhodes to Thessaloniki for our return flight home May 11. Does anyone know if there are ferries, high speed or other that go there? What about to Athens? If not, we will look into flights.

You have to fly. I would take Aegean Airlines straight from Rodos to Thessaloniki. I have done this. The flight is about 1 hour.

Go to the Aegean Airlines website to book your tickets.

There used to be occasional ferries from Rodos to Thessaloniki, but it was a very long trip, with calls at various other islands.
Blue Star Ferries run overnight ships from Rodos to Pireas (www.bluestarferries.com).

Don't even think about ferries. The best you will find are ferries to Piraeus, and you will still have to get from there to Thessaloniki. I thought there were direct flights from Rhodes (Rodos) to Thessaloniki, but when I checked the Aegean and Olympic websites, they showed all flights via Athens.

Is May 11 the date you fly home? Recommend you return to Thessaloniki at least one day before your homebound flight.

You have to watch for flights from Thessaloniki to Rodos and vice versa. I booked my flight on Aegean from Thessaloniki to Athens to Rodos, but closer to my travel date found a direct flight.
