Explorer, those are great pics. Particularly enjoyed Lucca and Beaune, two towns I have not yet visited. Liked your captions too. Gracias....

Hi, lateday:

Thanks so much for writing. Both Beaune and Lucca are worthy of your holiday considerations - at least two overnights each. Lucca is especially atmospheric, and Beaune would also make a fine base from which to explore the greater Burgundy region (Fontenay Abbey and Vezelay) - places I'd like to see on a future trip.

Best of luck.

Nice pics. The ones of Rome are great and it was a good preview of my upcoming first trip there this October. Hope it's cooler there than it was when you were there this summer! Where did you stay in Rome?

I envy your upcoming trip to Rome next month. We stayed at the Albergo Senato. It was wonderful and right next to the Pantheon. This location was perfect for walking to all of the sights including St. Peter's and the Vatican Museum. Enjoy your trip!
