Restuarants in Rome

Dear Helpful Travelers,
I will be taking my wife to Rome for her 50th b'day. I want to take her to the most romantic restuarant. If the food is great then, within a certain amount of reason, cost is not important.
What suggestions do you good people have?
Thank you very much for your time and help.
Geoff R
Dear Geoff,
I am not crazy, I suppose to mean your aim and, anyway, I suggest you a romantic restaurant far from the idea of romantic Roman restaurant. Yes, I advice you La Pergola dell'Hotel Cavalieri Hilton in Rome, at Monte Mario.
Maybe it's the best solution. The food is great. The cost, not important, is not cheap !
The view fromt the terrace is quite romantic and the atmosphere is charming.
Happy birthday for your kind and luck wife.

Vincenzo,
I am not sure that our ideas of a romantic restaurant are that different! Thank you for the suggestion. Any others for our stay in Rome?
Gracie,
Geoff

Vivendo, in the Grand Hotel Regis.

Or the rooftop of the Minerve Hotel - - though I am not sure about dinner time dining there -- I have only lunched there.

Best wishes,

Rex
Geoff,
There is a thread called "Rome Fine Dining", that if you search fro, might give you some information.

My Husband & I celebrated our 10 yr. anniv., last November, in Rome. We had a very lovely meal at La Rosetta (near the Pantheon.) The food was expensive, but spectacular.

Have fun planning!
Kate
