Restaurants Within an Hour of Eze, France, Must Sees in the Area

My husband and I are spending 3 nights at Cap Estel in Eze France in a couple weeks. We are looking for some GREAT restaurants all within an hours drive. We are looking for great food, and views! Also, any Must Sees(drives, places, shopping, activities) in this area anyone would recommend? Thank you!

That's easy. Just north of Nice is a most beautiful village of Peillon. While I'm not necessarally impressed by michelin restaurants, you would find a Michelin 1 star restaurant at the Hotel Auberge de la Madone. Food was very good. The village is as it was hundreds of years ago. The road up to the village was interesting. Two way, but very narrow, with turnouts for cars to pass. Richard www.auberge-madone-peillon.com

We've been in that area several times and missed it. A good reason to go back---looks fabulous! Thanks for the info.

Be sure to book ahead for the Auberge de la Madonne. We arrived without a reservation and couldn't get in. BTW, driving up to the village involves something like 13 switchbacks; so allow plenty of time.

The Madone is a good suggestion and also in St Paul-De-Vence the Colombe D'Or, a favorite of mine.If you dine there they will let you see all the works of famous artists that are everywhere in the hotel, The pool as an enormous Calder Mobile and works of other artists, and visit the Maeght Foundation, a fabulous museum with
Great art inside and on the grounds.
