Restaurants with a view of the Eiffel Tower
 

I know the Paris restaurant questions are asked again & again and we definitely have our favorites, but we've never been to one with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
Any suggestions?

If you eat outside, Bon Accueil. We have enjoyed meals there several times.

Le Ciel de Paris - the restaurant atop the Tour Montparnasse.
Haven't eaten there, but the Eiffel Tower view is great.

Then there's Déli-cieux in the Printemps de la Maison store. I've been wanting to try it for a light lunch with great views.

And of course there is Les Ombres in the Musée du Quai Branly if you are a high roller.

There is a one across the river around the Trocadero, in that museum (de l'Homme), but I think it's closed right now, actually (Cafe de l'Homme).

I like Chez Francis across the river at place d'Alma. Not all their seats have views of it, of course, but some do, including the cafe seats in front. It's moderately priced.

Les Ombres in the Branley Museum has a view.

Les Ombres in the Musee du Quai Branly was the highlight of our trip, Absolutely stunning when all the lights on go. It has a glass ceiling if I remember correctly. Not for the faint at heart! The prices were high, but to us well worth it. The food and service were also superb!!

I have been interested in Les Ombres. I looked at their web site to get an idea of prix fixe price range. It says MENU DÎNER is 68€. Am I really looking at the price of dinner instead of a lunch? http://www.lesombres-restaurant.com/...enu-diner.html. Ok, their Christmas menu is probably for the high rollers.

If you are looking for dinner, then definitely book ahead for Le Ciel. And if you are there in Summer, book for a late dinner (after 9pm) so you get the full effect. They have a great lunch menu if that works out better for you. The new decor is nice (but they took away the stars on the ceiling!) and the food is still excellent. Cocktails are clever too and the staff lovely.

If you want to sit outside, you could also go for the terrace at Cafe Marly. Sit in between the columns and get views of the Eiffel Tower and the courtyard of the Louvre.

Maison Blanche, on top of the Théâtre des Champs Elysées, has great views (from the mezzanine room) of the city and the tower. Haven't eaten there yet so can't comment on the food.

As suggested by others also,the best views can bee seen from Les Ombres in the Branley Museum. A great combination of food and extraordinary views of the Eiffel Tower.

Great suggestions. I'll check them all out for dinner. Since we are only in Paris a few nights this trip this will be a splurge night. Other nights casual.

greg, I looked at that website, and it does indeed seem the prix fixe for dinner (evening meal) is 68 euro, which I don't consider that high rollings. Their cartes shows various main dishes, meat or fish, from 30-45 euro which I would call moderate myself, as I often only have only that if it comes with some potatoes or vegetable. I can never eat meals with many courses, they are too much, even in France. Their lunch prix fixe is 32-42 euro, so cheaper than the 68 dinner one.
