A recent post said that Perraudin had changed owners and the prices were higher, but that the food was still good. We didn't try to eat there last week after I read that the ownership had changed. We ate at Les Fetes Galantes a couple of years ago, and it was good and budget as well. We tried to eat there last week, but we were there at noon, and they are only open in the evening. Les Fetes Galantes is on Ecole Polytechnique in the 5th. We did have a very good lunch at City Crepes Cafe at 73, rue de Seine in the 6th. Also, had some good meals in the 4th - one at Gli Angeli, 5, rue Saint-Gilles (Italian). Had an excellent lunch at Jacquemart Andre museum. Had a good marocaine dinner at Le Maraicain at 15, rue Francois Miron in the 4th. It was very reasonable. We didn't realize until we were seated that the restaurant had changed owners, and the food was not french! But we enjoyed it anyway.

Go to the 13th! You can find very fun places if you don't contain yourself in the most touristic area. Think Double Digits!

Three years old??? When will I learn to look at the dates on these threads. Well, of course, ira's comments regarding Balzar are outdated now -- if they weren't already outdated three years ago!
