Restaurants Near Saint Germain

I'm staying in the Saint Germain area of Paris for just one night and I need a recommendation for a nice (special occasion) restaurant that is within walking distance from our hotel (basically at the metro stop).

A focus on seafood would be ideal for the wife, but not absolutely imperative.

Does anyone have suggestions/recommendations?

Thanks.

Hi,
I recommend Fish (la Boissonnerie) at
69,rue de Seine, Paris, France.
We ate there one night & really enjoyed our meal. It gets good reviews on Trip Advisor, too.

Great, thanks.
It doesn't seem to have a website. I've been noticing that same issue with a lot of restaurants in Paris!

Here's a place across from the Odeon theater.

Thanks Adrienne!
I have my French buddy calling La Boissonnerie for me right now, haha.
This place near Odeon looks great though.

Among ira's recommmendations are famous places, in the past and still today. Will they have the best food? Probably not. Will you see someone famous among the many tourists? Possibly yes. Will you know who it is? Probably not because it will likely be a famous European, but maybe it will be Woody Allen.

Across the street is the Brasserie Lipp, the kind of place nobody goes any more except the people who do. They arrive in big cars with drivers. But their menu is posted outside just like everyone else's, so you can decide if you want to go.

I love Deux Magots for a cup of coffee and people watching, but I would not spend my one night in Paris there for dinner. Maybe a drink after dinner.
