Restaurants in Vienna

Looking thru Fodor,it seems interesting and good restaurants in the medium range are few.Wonder if anybody can recomend their special viennese restaurant in the mid price category. Thanks

I don't have any mid-priced restaurants that were outstanding, BUT for a very special evening, the KORSO in the Hotel Bristol is truly outstanding. We had one of the most outstanding dining experiences of our lives in this restaurant. The food is outstanding and you are treated like royalty.

Given that I like Austrian food the *least* or any in central europe, my favorite restaurant in Vienna is "A Tavola." It's very near the cathedral on Weiburgasse. {right next to Hotel Elisabeth Kaserin] Here's my description from an earlier post: "Italian, charming rooms, chic crowd, fabulous food." I remember wonderful dripping candlelabras. Price? About US$80 for appetizer [great soups] entree, dessert and a glass of wine apiece for two. You should probably make reservations.
Here's the plan Stan, (Probably heard that a thousand times), go to the Sacher Hotel for coffee and their famous Sacher torte.
I also recommend Rathauskeller for a very nice and very reasonably priced meal!
