Restaurants in Vienna

Spending two weeks in Austria and looking for some new ideas for dining in Vienna. Would greatly appreciate not only authentic cuisine but also some ideas on where to find something healthy and not too heaviy.

Well, for something completely different, there is a very nice casual Japanese sushi bar with many varieties of yakisoba and bento, on Singerstrasse about half a block from where it intersects with Kartnerstrasse. (a block from St. Stephen's Cathedral.)

A few doors farther down Singerstrasse is a grocery with great deli and salads to go.

We enjoyed both last summer. Hope this helps.

Korso at the Hotel Bristol - incredible food, beautiful room (get a table in the main room), attentive service without being stuffy - expensive but I think, worth it. Check Fodor's restaurant rec's.

Hotel Palais Schwartzenburg. In a beautiful old palace, wonderful food and service.
