Restaurants in the Dordogne

We'll be spending a week in the Dordogne (following a week in the Luberon) and would appreciate any restaurant thoughts, especially "local" and/or out of the way places.

Don't miss la Belle Etoile in la Roque-Gageac, with great menus at 20€ and 30€, terrific service, and a beautiful view of the river. It's not out-of-the-way, but it's the favorite local resaurant of several people we talked to.

We were in Le Bugue for a week last month.
We really enjoyed Les Trois A's in Le Bugue, lunch at Maison Martine in Compagne and La Belle Etoile in La Roque Gageac. I'm sure you'll hear from St. Cirq with her recommendations.
Have a wonderful week!

Well, here are my favorites:

L'Esplanade in Domme

La Belle Etoile in la Roque-Gageac

La Table du Terroir in La Chapelle-Aubareil

Le Relais des Cinq Châteaux in Vitrac

La Bastide in Monpazier

Le Bois Saffron in Audrix

Le Tournepique on the bridge under the Château de Castelnaud (VERY local for Sunday lunch)

Les Fontenilles in Le Bugue

Restaurant le Chevillard in Riberac

Hostellerie La Roseraie in Montignac

Le Moulin de la Beune in Les Eyzies

Sorry, that should have been Le Bois Safran in Audrix.

I agree that Les Trois As in Le Bugue is very good.

Oh, and if you want something REALLY local, there's a goose farm called La Faisanderie in Audrix where the owners will bring you into their dining room and serve you a five-course meal of goose. While you're dining, you can look out over their fields and see the flocks at play.
