Restaurants in Prati District of Rome

We are leaving for Rome 2 weeks from today and will be staying at the Hotel Guilio Cesare on Via degli Sciponi in the Prati District. We would be grateful for any restaurant recommendations in the vicinity. We tend to favor the small, family-run osteria type of thing, but a romantic evening with a view of St. Peter's might be nice one night too. Thanks!

I believe Enoteca del Frate is close to your hotel.
Great place, good wine & food. Try not to issit.

We also like Dino and Tony's, closer to the Vatican

Both good suggestions. Thanks. More from others welcome!

Thanks so much, Rineurope! I had already identified a few of these but you have suggested many more to investigate. Can't thank you enough!

Can anyone share restaurants for breakfast in that area?

You don't plan to eat the breakfast that is included in your room rate at the hotel?

It's a Continental breakfast I just learned. We'd like other options.

From reviews on Tripadvisor.com:

"The breakfast is one of the best we have ever had anywhere, eggs, prosciutto, hams, fresh cheeses, fresh Fruit ABS honey from the owners farm, home made breads and cakes." [July 2013]

"They have an extensive breakfast of hot and cold choices in a very nice dining room." [July 2013]

"This hotel earns my recommendation primarily because of its location and the quality of its breakfast buffet." [June 2013]

"But it is the breakfast that makes this hotel stand out. Fresh fruits, veggies and honey from the owner's property.Multiple egg dishes, cheeses, baked goods, ... the list of wonderful offerings is endless. All served buffet style and enjoyed with full napery. It is like a Sunday buffet every day of the week." [June 2013]
