I second Marco Polo close to the Odeon stop. Also casual but good, Le Danton and les editeurs. You will probably need a reservation, but Le Comptoir at the same intersection is wonderful for lunch or dinner.

Love Marco Polo, one of our favorites.
If you feel like walking to the Notre Dame area (maybe 2 blocks onto Ile de Cite from Notre Dame), this is another favorite. It's a plain room, the prices are somewhat low, and the food is really great.

We've probably had dinner there 6-8 times and never been disappointed.

In the 4th Le Bouquet St Paul on rue de St Antoine, small bisto wine bar with good food
In the 5th Le Reminet on rue de grand Degres and Chez Fernand on rue Christine
In the 6th Bistrot de Paris , rue de Lille
On Ile St Louis we really like Le Caveau d'Ile on rue de St Louis

5th - FWIW, if L'Atelier Maître Albert at 1, rue Maître-Albert gets a mention (ambience esp suited to the cooler months I would think), it may be better to have a main from the rotisserie, especially their chicken which I gather is a speciality, rather than steak as I did recently (and which was not nearly as good as my steak at the humble Hippopotamus on nearby rue Lagrange).
