The restaurant of the Parador San Francisco, which is within the Alhambra.

The Rue de la Valleta (sp?) just outside of Granada was excellent.

I enjoyed Cunini, a restaurant just a three minute walk from the cathedral. The tapas bar in the front is bustling in the afternoons, and the dining room is in a separate room. I had some good seafood here.

Be sure to take advantage of the great tapas areas in Granada!

The hotel staff recommended Pilar del Toro (opposite Plaza Nueva) and we had a fantastic meal there. They also have a beautiful little courtyard for sunny days.

I agree with MMM. For great seafood and fish, definitely try Cunini. It's on Plaza Pescaderia (there is also a lively food market on this square in the mornings). Also near the Cathedral, for a sit-down tapas meal try Meson el Patio, on calle Mesones. For great Mediterranean style tapas, try el Mediterraneo on the corner of Calle Gracia and Veronica la Magdalena. For good fish tapas, try Arco Iris on Calle Elvira.
Also, for an afternoon pitstop, don't miss the Moorish tea-shops on calles Caldereria Vieja / Caldereria Nueva.

Why pay for food when the tapas in Granada are free? ^____^
