Restaurants Alicante

Can anyone recommend any good authentiek Spanish restaurants in old town in Alicante. We really enjoy a good variety of tapas as well as nice atmosphere etc. Any recommendations will be appreciated

Elin,
Nou Manolin on Villegas 3. You'll love it-has one of the best, most atmospheric tapas bars in the entire Levante coast.

Thank you, Carmen! I have also been recommended a restaurant called "Labrador" or similar. Do you know it and if it is good?
Greetings

Elin,
Sorry, don't know anything about Labrador.
Forgot to tell you that Nou Manolin has a newer sibling, called "Piripi" on Oscar Espla 30, run by the owner's son. Great tapas, wines and rice dishes.

Well I just got back from a month in Alicante, that was my base town from Spain while I was studying. One of the best restaurants there for Tapas was called "Cisne", it is right off the main road, if you know where the big internet cafe is (with red paint all over it) just follow it down to the left and you will see it. It is very close to the dry cleaners, "Azul/Azul".
