Restaurantes, pizzerias near Piazza Santa Cecilia in Trastevere

Hi, we are staying near Santa Maria in Cosmedin. I thought it will be easy to get across Ponte Palatino and eat in the Trastevere. Can you recommend nice places>?
Near Santa Cecilia would be fine, along Via Vascellari too. Thank you.

2 of our favorite meals in our week in Rome were in Trastevere. We LOVED Lemani in pasta. Via dei Genovesi, 37 tel. 06.581 6017 Closed Monday. It's a very small place filled with locals. Fantastic very fresh food, very reasonably priced. Not much English spoken, but very friendly waitstaff. I'd advise a reservation here becuase it's small and popular with the locals.

A really fun place with great pizza, far better than the highly touted Dar Poeta, is Popi-Popi, Via delle Fratte di Trastevere, 45. They have a very large patio that's actually across the street from the restaurant and it's a huge, local dining scene, with lot's of young people and families enjoying food and drinks. We ate pizza, pasta and fried artichoke hearts as well as fabulous stuffed zucchini flowers and the best tiramisu I've ever had. Everything was top quality and delicious.

Have a great time.

I had a nice lunch at a cafe in Piazza in Piscinula, which is just over the bridge. It's called Cornucopia.
