Restaurant suggestions in Oslo

Does anyone have dinner suggestions for Oslo, Stockholm, and/or Helsinki? We don't want anything too fancy...maybe somewhere locals might frequent, or a place with a great view, etc.
Mid-priced (if that exists in Scandinavia:)... We like fun bars, bistros, too.
Thanks for any suggestions.

For something very casual in Oslo (pizza, etc), try Peppe's. There are a couple of locations around town, and an outpost at the Oslo airport (if it's still there).

I personally didn't find the prices in Oslo much different to the prices in central London for restaurants, (although i was visiting a friend who took me to places on the outskirts so it is slightly different to central Oslo) and i agree with Debs for Peppes as a casual place. It served some delicious pizza and the portions were huge.

I went to the one close to the main bus station as i had to get the bus back to the airport.

Also whilst in Oslo i highly recommend visiting Vigeland park for the sculpture. I'm not a huge fan of sculpture but i loved these

Hi Sandy,
While in Stockholm, we really liked the Gondolen (sp.) restaurant that overlooks the Gamla Stan. There is a walkway that gives you a gorgeous view. It's a rather fancy restaurant but a worthwhile splurge. Be sure to remove everything from any coats that you check...our Stockholm cards "disappeared" thanks to the coatcheck girl

Also, just wander around the Gamla Stan. There were lots of great restaurants.
