Restaurant Recs in Dordogne, Villefranche, Albi, Drome

Hi, We'll be leaving in two weeks for France and I'd love to have some restaurant recommendations for the following areas:
Albi, Buisson le Cadouin (Dordogne),Villefranche sur Mer, St. Raphael (Cote d'Azur), Rochegude (northern Provence, Drome). Any budget is fine - just looking for great food.

Thanks for any help. Barb

For the Drôme I'd highly recommend the restaurant Les Hospitaliers in the rebuilt medieval village perché of Le Poët-Laval.

Thanks, Underhill. We once stopped by Les Hospitaliers in Poet-Laval, but it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. I hope to get there this trip.

Any other recommendations?
Barb

Do you have my 20+ page Dordogne itinerary??? It has about 20 or so restaurants described - and I indicate my top 6. E-mail me at [email protected] if you want a copy.

We had a very nice meal a month ago at Mere Germaine in Villefranche. I like Dordogne food more, but the "scene" at Mere Germaine can't be beat. This month's France magazine has a picture of it & info in Villefranche.

Second the recommendation of Les Hospitaliers - wonderful setting & very good food. We had dinner there last year.

Barb, I'm currently posting a trip report with restaurant reviews in the Dordogne and Albi. We liked le Vieil Alby in Albi plus Bistro de l'Octroi and le Presidial in Sarlat for dinner. For lunch: le Vieux Logis in Tremolat, la Meynardie north of Salignac and la Metairie south of Font de Gaume on the road to Sarlat. I should cover all these before you leave. Click on my name to find my report for more details.
