Restaurant recommendations, Scotland and England

Any restaurant recommendations in the following places would be appreciated. We love all food. Well, maybe not okra but that's probably not an issue. Also love a good pint.

Inverness
Portree, Isle of Skye
Fort William
Kendal
Windermere
Moreton-in-Marsh

Inverness:

The Castle Tavern is pretty typical pub grub but they have a nice selection of hand-pulled cask ales and they do a Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding which i really enjoy.

Sam's Indian Cuisine makes my tastebuds happy.

RefleXions in the Waterside Hotel is also very good, albeit a bit pricey.

The Thai restaurant above Hootananny is no more and in its place is a trad Scottish restaurant. i haven't eaten there but my local friends assured em it was tasty.

It's a bit outside of Inverness but Fiddler's Pub in Drumnadrochit is worth a visit. Their food is good but their selection of whisky is even better and the owner is happy to talk shop.

False.

Beer pulled through non-cleaned lines does not taste good and constitutes a problem in my book.

Ooops. Forgot to mention to look for the Cask Marque logo on a pub to find a good pint - http://www.cask-marque.co.uk/ .
