Restaurant recommendations for Venice
Yes, I will do a search here for more info, but would appreciate any recommendations you have for restaurants in Venice. Been there twice, but never seem to have much luck in this area.
We're adventuresome eaters, so just about anything is OK. Also, we'll probably be considering places in all price ranges -- cheap one day, expensive another, etc., -- so don't let that limit your recommendation, though I would appreciate your giving the average cost. Thanks. |

I like Avogoria too. Here's how to get there:
From Accademia, walk as if going to Cammpo Santa Margharita. When you go under the sottopassagiata into Campo San Barnaba take a hard left. When you go over a bridge watch for Avogoria on your left. Its a very contemporary interior. Visit the knockout bathrooms. Last time I was there the chef was Pugliese and the frito misto was terrific. |
A personal favorite based on quality and freshness of ingredients and pleasant effective service is Ristorante AlCovo in Castello, just down from St. Mark's. Truly excellent seafood.

I have found this book of interest, maybe you will. It has loads of interesting suggestions about eating in Venice.
