Restaurant Recommendations

Leaving in less than 2 weeks! I know there are recommendations all over this forum, but I got sick of sifting through all the old messages :) Lets put them all in one thread. I like nice restaurants and whole-in-the-walls - as long as the food is good. The reality is I would probably not do more than one or too (if that) wallet busters on the trip - unless someone can convince me otherwise!!! I will be in Barcelona, Madrid, Toledo, Cordoba, Granada, Seville and Rhonda. Special points to anyone that knows of a restaurant that will be open late - like after 11:00pm on Christmas Eve in Madrid.
Let the postings begin!

Just want to say that 11 PM is not late in Madrid, unless it might be considered so for Christmas Eve, but if they serve dinner, certainly they'll still be serving (really just getting underway) at that hour.

Of course Botin is a good bet, but we liked the nearby Posada La Villa better (similar type place).
But our favorite find in Madrid was an Uraguayan Parilla with fantastic roasted meats and a wonderful staff. It's very near Plaza Mayor and is called Colonia del Sacramento.

El Caballo Rojo (the main restaurant) near the Mezquita in Cordoba is wonderful.

When I was there, it was not cheap, but it was not a "wallet buster" either.

Ronda (watch the spelling!) restaurants recommendations:

Tragabuches, one Michelin star, beside the Parador. High price.
El Predicatorio, it is very near outside the city on the road to Algeciras, with a breathtaking view of the city, thus ideal for lunch. Middle priced. phone 952161868
In the Barrio de San Francisco you (which is the outside-the-walls neighborhood you cross for going to Algeciras) you may find La Bodeguita de San Francisco, tapas/raciones of local specialities, cheap and very good; and a little along, Rest. Casa Maria, very good meat, 952876212.
The Parador restaurant is good as well, with local dishes.

You might get more recommendations if you repost with "Spain" in the title.

Yes - I realized I spelled "ronda" wrong after I posted, in addition to typing "too" instead of "two" - good thing my parents arent on the forum :) I also thought posting it in the Spain forum would be enough -- but I will repost, as suggested, with Spain in the title.

The vast majority of us don't click on a particular country and just look at posts under that topic -- which is all that "posting" on Spain does. When we come to the Europe forum and start browsing, we have no idea which country the poster might have clicked.
