Restaurant recommendation close to Campo dei Fiori

For our first night in Rome, we would like to reserve dinne at a restaurant in the Campo dei Fiori neighbourhood and would very much appreciate some suggestions.

Many thanks for your help!

Right on Camp de Fiori, La Carbonara. They serve authentic Roman fare.

www.la-carbonara.it

Be sure to order four courses - antipasti, pasta, secondo piatto, dolce - in order to get a proper Italian meal.

Thanks! Just checked their website ... unfortunately they are closed through August

Any others in the vicinity that you can recall?

We like Ditirambo restaurant. Very good seasonal ingredients. It is not fancy but is full of locals which is always a good sign. I usually make a reservation on their website www.ristorantditirambo.com

Sorry, they are so authentic that they even close during the high tourist season... the Romans are in Sardinia in August.

I was going to post Pierluigi but jamikins beat me to it. Ate there twice the last trip and loved it both times.
