Respite from babies!
Help!
I am looking for a hotel in Europe (not too fussy where) which has a baby club, most of them will only take children over 2. This is for a single mother who desperately needs a break with a baby of 15 months. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. |
The Kempinski Grand Hotel des Bains in St Moritz has a Kid's Club. I think they start at 3 months.
I think your only option will be a resort town in the mountains or on the sea as opposed to Paris or Rome, where the kiddies need to be occupied while the parents ski, sail, whatever. |
I agree, ideally would like a beach resort rather than mountains. Think the Kempinski might be a little out of my price bracket.

You could try Bedruthan Steps hotel in the UK. Close to a very nice beach.

Bedruthen Steps looks lovely but ideally I would like somewhere hot and there is never a guarantee of the weather here is there?
|
I'm sorry but for someone who claims not to be very fussy you could have fooled me.
|
We live about 20 miles from the Bedruthan steps and it's very hot [for Cornwall] now. 27C today and rising. I've not stayed there but friends have and speak highly of it. The restaurant is very good.
If this doesn't sell you on the idea, Club med and Mark Warner, to name but two, have child-minding facilities. I also think that a book or two have been published to help out in these circumstances. Good Luck! |
Dukey - don't mean to sound fussy, obviously I wasn't specific enough.
Would like to be by a beach and out of England. Annhig - Thanks have check out Club Med and Mark Warner. Unfortunately with Club Med you have to book the baby club early and they are now all full for the summer. Waiting to her from Mark Warner |
read a few reviews on trip advisor re Mark Warner and they were quite off putting. Still looking for somewhere abroad that isn't an arm and leg job.
