Reservations in Northern Spain
Hi all - Travelling with wife and two teenaged girls (15 and 18) on july 23 to northern Spain (staying in San Sebastian and then Cangas de Onis. I am probably late in doing so, but it seems to me that I should make reservations for a few specific things of interest. Let me know you have any advice regarding:
Pelota matches Flamenco We have some great recommendations from "the Fodorites" on wineries near Laguardia, kayaking in the Picos de Europas and various tapas/pinxtos destinations, but feel free to add more! |
If you want to sleep somewhere specific or you do not want to wander around for some time or you want to keep in a budget , then pre book. If you want an unplanned trip then no.
|
Thanks, we are set for lodgings. Just looking for the few things that have to be pre-planned.

What things do you think you need reservations for?
Tourism is very low key and if you cannot find something like kayaking on one day then you will be able to find something on a following day or with another company. |
Not sure, other than winery tours and certain restaurants. Sounds like everything else (with the possible exception of some of the caves) is Ok to play by ear.

I wouldn´t expect much of flamenco in northern Spain...flamenco is an art from Southern Spain, Andalucía mainly. As per the pelota matches, the big festivals take place during spring and summer, so depending on the town you´re in you may find a good match. There are several pelota varieties, so check before.

LOL, I missed the flamenco bit.
Try sidra drinking too |
