Reservations for Florence Museums
This (below) is from Ira last year - is this still the best way to reserve tickets? I will be there Sept 30th; at this time of year, is it necessary/recommended to reserve? Do they give you a specific time that you have to be there?
Message: How do I make reservations for the Accademia and the Uffizi in Florence? The easiest and cheapest way is to call Florence 011 (U.S. international access code) 39 (Italy's country code) then 055-294-883 8:30-18:30 M-F and 8:30-12:00 Sat. Florence time. You will get an English speaking operator and in 2-3 minutes YOU CAN RESERVE FOR BOTH. This is through the reservation service at the Uffizi and costs beyond the normal entry fee only about 1.60 euro for the service. This is MUCH cheaper than the commercial booking services. |
Still works the same way!! You may request a time and day. Reservations are ALWAYS good to have in the museums in Italy. If you need any further help, just drop me a line!

Hi jck,
Yes, it still works. |
Just back from our trip, and wanted to let people know that even now (relatively off season) and in the middle of the week, the lines at La Accadamia and Uffizi are still long and I am SOOOOO glad that I called ahead to make a reservation. HIGHLY recommended, as we were able to go to the front of all lines. Just a 3Euro charge per ticket per person. Worth it for the time we saved.

You have got to use the reservations. It was super easy and as mentioned the lines were still pretty robust.
Plus you can't beat the feeling of walking past a block line of people to walk right in. |
