Renting ParisPerfect Apartment!!
Hi everyone, Has anyone rented a ParisPerfect apartment recently? Do they accept Visa/Mastercard? Is it reasonable to discuss rental arrangements only through email or should we actually talk to someone in the company? How do we know we are talking to a "legit" company? Help...thanks ptm
|
I have not rented from them, but with all the many recommendations here and elsewhere there is not a snowball's chance in Hell that it is NOT a legit company.
I am amazed that there is no reference to credit cards or how payments are to made. I'd contact them and find out. Emails are safe. |
Everything you need is on their website. Re it being a legit company...it is perhaps the premiere apt. rental company in Paris and London.
I met with Carolyn in Feb. to preview an apt. I have one rented for October. Phillipe will send everything to you..contract etc. for your CC info. Call if you wish..really no need to. E-mail can take care of everything. Better hurry for this year as they may be pretty well filled up this late. |
"Everything you need is on their website."
Really? I searched everywhere I could find on that website and NOWHERE could I find a reference to credit cards, PayPal, or any other means of payment. That seems very odd for some reason considering how complete and "professional" the website is. |
hi, ptm,
i just googled paris perfect, and just like you and neopatrick failed to find any details of payment methods. but they do give e-mail link - why not ask them? [and let us know the answer!] regards, ann |
Guess it did not say payment methods online..they taked Visa and Mastercard..not Amex..it is all in their booking contract..information is very, very complete..they send you a great deal of info..I have it all!!
|
The word was take, not taked!!

Here is a long payment thread I found by searching here. Obviously they DO take credit cards:

They probably do not have the updated info re a/c on website, either.
All have A/C, as of 3/31/07... |
The thread referred to is quite old..not current info for their banking info. I don't think it is necessary to have it on their website.
I have all the information, because I have entered into a rental agreement with them. It is very well done and very professionally done...not a rinky dink outfit. Madelyn and Philippe live in London..Carolyn (Madelyn's sister lives in Paris. Carolyn is the local contact etc... |
ptm: You will love the apartment and the neighborhood, and you can feel confident that you are dealing with a reputable company. Once you book a flat with the PP team, they will guide you through the payment options. They are a very professional organization, as many Fodorites attest. You need look no further than the guidebook they provide for a wonderful holiday in Paris. Really, it is chockfull of great recommendations. You should have no worries about dealing with the PP staff. Relax, and enjoy your trip. EJ ((#))

Many..perhaps all..of the ParisPerfect apts. are also on the vrbo website. That site does list the Visa/MasterCard payment methods. The listings on vrbo also refer you to their personal website.

Thanks everyone. I do feel much better and I am relieved. I do worry about this stuff, yes... probably more than I should. I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate all the great advice and tips we have received. I don't think we could travel without you!!! I have been in touch with ParisPerfect... they are accepting Visa/Mastercard which is given over a secure link through theiremail/ booking confirmation. Once they recieve the Visa info they then reply with a confirmation and send a information package. I'll let you know how things go from there. Thanks Ptm

You will receive a very complete package..you have no worries with them..........

I see this thread is from a few years back, but my fiance and I are booking with them for end of May 2009.
Has anyone (gracejoan3,ptm,elsiejune) stayed in the Syrah? We were considering maybe getting a two bed (chardonnay) instead because the Syrah looked maybe a bit too "intime", but we love that the Syrah is on Rue Cler! I am too excited for words and cannot wait to cook with all the fresh foods in our own little kitchen. Also any tips on the washer/dryer combo? Does it work well or are we better off going to a public laundry? Merci Beaucoup! Marie |
bleuzebu,
Just saw your post on this thread. I think I told you about the Syrah on another thread. I am also familiar with the Chardonnay. It was beneath me and I also prrevied it with Madelyn the other evening. They are quite different from one another. It just depends on what appeals to you. Washer/dryer combos are so-so. Some are excellent. You may have a bit of hanging to finish drying. I have never gone out to be my laundry, and I stay for a month! Whichever one you end up with, you will enjoy! a bientot... Joan |
As far as laundry goes, the whole cycle takes almost a half day! The wash cycle is quite long but gets clothes very clean. We stayed in the Sancerre and found the dryer part just about cooked the clothes. If you didn't take them out from the washer before the dry cycle began, they were a dried up mess! And then again, perhaps we just didn't read the instructions well enough!?!?!?!?
Enjoy! joy/luvparee |
The washer/dryers are funny things. Yes, the instructions are important. Some never completely dry them..some do have the temps in the instrucctions..the "cooking" luvparee experienced might have been that. Some the combination ones are great..also the separate washer and dryers are great. Their instructiions are goo in the "yellow" guide.

My suggestion when renting apartments after several "entertaining" attempts with European washing machines....
Go to the local laundromat! Seriously the machines there take about 1/3 of the time of your "home" units and generally work much more like the ones you are used to in the US LOL! For the small price I am back in the city much quicker then when dealing with the units in the apartments. (even with the detail instructions) Plus if there are several of you, you can just do bigger loads LOL! |
