Renting Gites in France

Anyone know of a good source for finding Gites in France...Provence or Durdogne (SP?) or the Luberon? We hope to stay for a few weeks in a couple of places next fall.
thanks
Jean

You may also want to check out Guides de Charme, Editions Rivages.

You might also look at:

www.holiday-rentals.co.uk

We've rented houses through both of these sites.

I had good luck with Gites de France, although only for B&Bs. But I would expect them to be as satisfactory for longer stays.

We have stayed in six or seven gites throughout france always rented through the www.gites-de-france.fr and have never been disappointed. I wish every country had as many choices in weekly rentals as the gites system offers. It's fun looking at all the possibilities. Have a great trip. Deborah

I have used the website www.gite.com and found quite a few offerings. It might be a bit of an overlap with the gites-de-france website, but it's worth checking. Good luck.

I bought the Alistair Sawday book on Holiday Homes in France and found it quite useful.
