Renting a car from Paris to Nice

I am going to rent a car from Paris to Nice. Any suggestions on who to rent from and where to pick it up in Paris? I was hoping to pick it up near the A6 headed toward Burgundy. Anything in particular I should watch out for renting in France? I will be dropping it at the airport in Nice.

Why? It's so easy to fly or take the train. Do you have an itinerary that will have you touring lots of places along the way? It's a helluva drive and not much fun.

We are staying in Burgundy three days, then Provence for three days, then the Nice area for three days. We don't mind driving as we can stop along the way.

I have found Kemwel to be good to rent cars from in France. Remember it is less expensive not to use airports as a pickup point for a car rental.

You should check Auto Europe of the best rates. EuropCar has an office at Massy Rail Station with access to the A6. They also have an office at Porte d'Orleans. Avis has an office at 24 Rue Vercingetorix, not far from the A6.
