rentals in Normandy

Please give me some links for renting a villa in Normandie and Brittany. I checked the text search above but most of the info is obsolete.

thankyou

Here are some sites that should be useful for Normandy.

http://www.gites-de-france-calvados.fr/default.asp (GDF site for Calvados, the department which includes Caen, Bayeux, Honfleur and D-Day beaches)

http://www.normandie-gites-normandy-rentals.com/ (2 gites, one small, one large - I rented the larger one in 2000. The only disadvantage is that they are somewhat isolated and some distance from the popular sights.)

http://www.les-marronniers.com/pages/accueil_gb.htm

http://blackswanmill.com/

(These last 2 have been recommended on Fodors. Les Marronniers is primarily a B&B but has one small gite as well.)

I don't have any sites specifically for Brittany but you might find something on the general GDF site or www.flv.fr

If I can help further, let me know. Good luck!

We stayed at the Black Swan Mill outside Bayeux this summer and it was wonderful. They can accomodate groups from 4 to 20.

I thank both of you for the information. I really appreciate it.

Try this thread for many leads to the best places to look for home rentals in France, generally, though not specifically in Normandy:

You can go to the general Gites de France web site and then specify the area where you wish to stay. Brittany is divided into four or five areas, clearly indicated on a map.

I'd recommend www.francevillas.com or slowtrav.com (for advice, not actual bookings).

Best wishes,
