Rental cars in UK
 

ARe there any local rental car companies in Luton, Beds. I've tried renting thru the major companies: Avis, Alamo, National but their rates seem extremely high.

Not sure when or if Hertz is an option, but I got good rates using the RQ "As for Rate" code found on the Hertz website "WWDWEB" - but must include a Saturday stay.

Try these people - - http://www.woods.co.uk/branchinfo.asp - - it's now been 5 years since I rented from them (at Stansted), but experienced no problems, qith a drop at Heathrow, too.

We used this site for the first time this past May and they were the cheapest at that time. They placed us with Alamo. We picked up at Gatwick but according to their web site you can pick up all over in England.

The car hire varies each time and I always shop around for the best rate. We had no complaints about this company and if the rate was good would certainly use them again.
