Rental cars and cell phones in Sevilla
Anyone have any experience with Autoeurope in Spain? Is their CDW inclusive coverage adequate?
Anyone know if cheap cellphones are available for rent or purchase in the airport or elsewhere?

I was in Spain for a month..mid Jan to mid Feb. Car Jet is the car company for Spain...100% covered..no deductible..low, low prices..they don't care if you bang it up, scratch it or whatever....some of the streets are not as wide as even a small car..sooooo...we often had to fold in the side rearview mirrors..picked ours up at the Malaga airport....I think their site lists all the places.....

We have used Auto Europe in Ireland many times, much to our satisfaction. Rented directly from Hertz in Barcelona last year to get a fun convertible. When researching car rental this year for the south of Spain, I found Nova (http://www.rentacar-europe.com/) to have better rates than Auto Europe. And thanks to the Fodorite who enlightened me about Nova!
You might check this site out for cell phone rental: http://www.onspanishtime.com/ which I found via: http://www.multimadrid.com/hogar.htm

Molloy95 and gracejoan, thank you for sharing your experienced information. Carjet looks great, I like their terms and prices. Nova has great prices but in reading the fine print, the renter is responsible if someone breaks into it... doesn't make me feel real comfortable. Thank you for the suggestions! I only have had time to take a quick look at the cell phone sites but once I dig through them I'll probably have all I need to know. Right now I'm considering just picking up and inexpensive prepaid unlocked international gsm when i'm there and just buy time as needed. However, I plan on using a phonecard from payphones/landlines where possible.
Thanks again for the info.

All apologies, it was Car Jet and not Nova that explicitly said broken locks and glass were not covered. That said, I'm not sure that other companies will cover that either, without extra fees.
