Rental Car in Spain
Has anyone rented from Cardelmar.com in Spain? Came across it doing a search and have never heard of it before. The rental is cheaper than AutoEurope or any of the others but I want to make sure it's legit.

Yes, I have rented 2 or 3 times through Cardelmar.com
They are a consolidator like AutoEurope, and you will eventually rent from a regular rental car company like Avis, Europcar or a local company.

Prices can vary. When you pick-up/ drop-off at same location, or at other locations in the same region, Cardelmar or others can find local companies without a nationwide network of locations and often much cheaper rates. I have not found a consolidator, yet, who always had cheaper rates for any given time or location.

Upcoming, we're doing 8 days by car after 3 days in Barcelona (Segovia, el Escorial, Toledo, Madrid, etc., dropping car in Madrid on arrival there). Shopping hard, the best deals were from European consolidators. Reservations with small deposit from www.carsupermarket.es, with www.argusrentals.com, www.doyouspain.com, & www.sixt.co.uk close in price. The carsupermarket deal turned out to be with Atesa (National/Alamo), cheaper than their direct quote.
Remember, all you old gear shifters, a manual transmission rental will be up to 25% cheaper than AT....

Ended up going with Car del mar and it's a Hertz booking. It was only about $5 cheaper per week but that's better than nothing. It's for my in-laws trip so I'm hoping I earned a good gift for helping them save a few bucks!
