Rental car drop off in Seville - train station or airport?

I asked in an earlier thread about driving in Spain (and many of your replied - thanks, and I got the Michelin map for Andalucia). Several people mentioned they'd avoid driving "in Seville". While we will follow that advice and not keep the car in the city, we do need to drop it off somewhere.

Hence my question: I am coming in from the east (on the A376), and it looks like a pretty straight shot to the drop-off on Ave Kansas City next to the train station. (mappy.com says take the A376, carry on the Ave. de la Paz/changes name a few times/ make a right on Ave de Diego Martinez Barrio/ carry on, turn right)

Is this pretty easy, or should I change the location to the airport?

Thanks!

We found drop off at the train station to be easy.

Seville has wide avenues, clear signage and fairly plentyful parking (which ia aided by gypsy types who guard the places then guide you in for a fee.

I've driven there 3 times - the heat stands out - driving didn't really seem an issue, If you really want the dodgems try the Costa Del Crime coast road. That's fun!

Is it true that airport drop off in Europe cost more because of an airport tax. Or is that just in the US?

Thanks guys, I'll go ahead and leave the drop off in Seville proper.

Regarding the last question - I'm not sure about the airport drop off fees. Anybody?

Picking up a car at the airport can cause an extra x percent fee. But not drop-off.

Though I also had rental cars with no extra fee for airport pick-up in Spain. Depends on how your rental car company/ contract handles this.

I would second markrosy's assessment that driving in Seville is not that difficult for those who can read traffic signs.
