Rental car and the luggage
 

We will picking up a Renault Scenic at Schipol Airport. We are four adults and each will have a 24x18x1.1 suitcase. My husband is concerned that there will not be enough room in the back of the car for all four suitcases. Does anyone have any experience with this? Second question: Is there a luggage storage area at Schipol and does anyone know the hours? Thanks, JB

It all depends on the actual car you get whether you'll have enough space. The Renault Scenic is merely a representative vehicle for the class - basically a small/mid hatchback. You could get a Toyota, Kia, Pugeot, VW, Opel, or a Ford.

It will be tight - I hope you're not planning on a lot of driving w/ luggage, as chances are good someone in the back seat will have a suitcase in their lap.

high and suitcases will likely fit on top of one another....

Probably you will not get a Renault Scenic but a different type of car of the same class. Probably, they have different cars to offer within your booking class and you may try them.

To be on the safe size, reserve a larger car, e.g. a wagon or a standard size van (Opel Zafira, VW Touran). It is just slightly more expensive.

The Scenic is designed as a family car. The minimum luggage space is 437 dm³ or 15.43 cubic feet.
