Rental Car AC?

Hi all,
Quick question: we will be in western Ireland in mid-late June for two weeks. Are we likely to need a rental car with AC?

You'd just better pray the heater works . . . And the windscreen wipers.

If you're worried about AC, then perhaps you should know that the vast majority of rental cars in Europe are manual.

There were a couple of weeks last year when just opening the window didn't cool things down much from 30c That though might have been the only time in the last 10 years I flicked the Air Con.

I would want ac. I run my ac even when it is cold/rainy out because it is the only thing that gets the steam off my windows. The defrost never seems to do the trick but the ac does in rainy humid weather. We have always had ac in our rental cars in Europe.

Most cars have air on nowadays. Only really basic models don't.

I agree that it is ideal for clearing steamed up windows. Ours is on pretty much year round, but then we do usually have a soggy dog in the back breathing all over the place :).
