Does anyone know whether we will have a problem picking up our rental car in Frankfurt and dropping it off in Zurich? Thanks!

You can arrange that - but many companies charge a huge premium for drop offs in different countries. Often it is better to drop a car in the same country and take a train from there.

Double check with the various rental agencies. Sometimes they do cahrge drop-off charges -esp if the countries are far apart - or places like Italy - where they really donlt want there car to end up.

But we have found that when countries are contiguous there is often no drop-off fee.

I picked up in Munich and dropped off in Zurich this past May. Drop off charge was $80 & change. Rented thru gemut.com which consolidated with autoeurope.com but was cheaper than autoeurope. Got an Avis car. ((b))
