Rent a car in Italy to and drive to Croatia

I want to rent a car in Venice and drive to Croatia. What agency should we use? Looking for a good price and good location in Venice for pick up and drop off.Patti

Patti - I believe Avis, Europcar and Hertz will all normally let you hire from Venice to Croatia (- returning to Venice) - although there is a supplementary fee.

Hope this helps ...

Hi
We drove to Croatia 3 yrs ago and had to rent our car from Slovenia. When we contacted Autoeurope we were told that a car rented in Italy can't be taken into Croatia, Instead we flew in slovenia and rented from there. Check into that before you rent.

I had to rent in Slovenia, but that was 4 years ago. We dropped it in the border town of Koper and got a taxi to Trieste train station.
