Rent a Car in Chuisi

Renting a Car in Chiusi

Appreciate any help, we will be training it from Rome to Chiusi rail station late April, ( matter of fact 29th and I know offices close 12.30/1pm) for a week at il Pioggo , Celle sul Rigo, ( any comments on this property, would also be helpful) and wish to know which rent a car company anyone would recommend, and to pick up near the station, and return at the station as we will be going on to Florence by train on the 6th May. I have read Budget or Europcar, but open to any suggestions.

Much appreciated,

Anna

I've rented a few times in Chiusi, always through AutoEurope (that's different from Europcar). I think their affiliate in Chiusi is Hertz. You don't get a choice of locations - the pickup and dropoff is at/near the train station.

We rented from AutoEurope this past May and got the car from the Europcar office in Chiusi. The Europcar office is about a five to ten minute walk from the train station. The Europcar office is on part of a vehicle repair shop. It was easy to get out of town from there.

Just in case the OP isn't familiar with Autoeurope: They're a car rental broker based in the States. In choosing to use them (rather than renting directly), we've followed the advice frequently offered on Fodor's that they're easier to work with if there's a problem with the rental. We haven't had reason to test that, but they have been easy to work with. I typically look at the rates they're offering online but call to make the reservation (I prefer to talk to a live person). They'll match online prices if they happen to be cheaper.

Hertz is a one-minute walk to the right going out of the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme sation.
